Kim Delaney is an American actress best known as the character the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered an Emmy Award. Born as the only daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney grew up with her four brothers.
