Kristin Fisher will join CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the growth and advent in space travel. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan was raised within the space industry. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. While there, she also covered impeachment trials for the president as well as the 2020 presidential campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the president and vice-president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up in local TV news stations including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin is also a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary-style films with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science in journalism from Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
